APC Protocol Sub-Committee Begins Preparations for 2026 Convention

The APC Protocol Sub-Committee convened its inaugural meeting on Tuesday to mark the official start of preparations for the upcoming 2026 National Convention. The meeting was chaired by Senator Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, and attended by key members including Hadiza Bala Usman, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination, and Dr.

Mariya Mahmoud Bunkur, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory. The committee discussed its terms of reference, which will guide the execution of its mandate, including managing official courtesies, coordinating invitations, and developing seating arrangements for the convention.

Following the meeting, the committee inspected the Eagle Square venue to assess logistical and protocol arrangements to ensure the site is ready for the event. Additionally, the committee paid a courtesy visit to Aminu Bello Masari, the Chairman of the APC National Convention Planning Committee, to brief him on the outcomes of the inaugural session and provide updates on the preparatory plans.
