APC Wins All Seats in Gombe LGA Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) secured a clean sweep in the Gombe Local Government and Local Council Development Area elections, winning all 11 chairmanship seats and 13 LCDA chairmanship seats, along with 240 councillorship positions. The Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC), led by Chairman Abdullahi Garba Talass, announced the results late Saturday evening.

Talass noted that the creation of 13 LCDAs by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya significantly expanded the electoral commission's responsibilities and broadened democratic participation at the grassroots level. He described the establishment of the LCDAs as a bold initiative that brought governance closer to the people.

Governor Yahaya congratulated the newly elected chairmen and councillors, expressing confidence in their ability to meet the expectations of the electorate. He called for selfless service and transparency in leadership, pledging full support for the new council leaders to enhance grassroots development and improve living standards across the state.
