APC Dominates Gombe State Local Government Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) secured a clean sweep in the Gombe State local government and local council development area elections held by the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GOSIEC). The results, announced by GOSIEC Chairman Abdullahi Garba Talass, revealed that APC won all 11 local government chairmanship seats and 13 LCDA chairmanship seats, as well as 240 councillorship positions.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who established the 13 LCDA to enhance grassroots administration, congratulated the newly elected officials and expressed confidence in their ability to serve the people transparently and accountably. He emphasized the importance of unity and inclusiveness in governance.

The elections were noted for their orderly conduct, with commendations for the political parties and security agencies involved in ensuring a peaceful electoral process.
