APC's Ikeja Asogwa Wins Enugu North Senatorial Seat

In the recent Enugu North Senatorial by-election, Ikeja Asogwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) achieved a significant victory, receiving 162,360 votes. His closest rival, Nestor Ezem of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), secured only 9,299 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Asogwa the winner on Sunday. Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State congratulated Asogwa, describing the victory as a testament to the APC's dominance in the state and reflecting the people's overwhelming support.

Mbah emphasized that the constituents of the senatorial district made a choice that aligns with quality representation and expressed confidence that Asogwa would serve as a champion for the people. This victory is seen as a landmark achievement for the APC, reinforcing its position as a dominant political force in Enugu State.
