APGA Unveils Timetable for 2026 Primary Elections

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced a provisional timetable for its 2026 primary elections, aimed at selecting candidates for the 2027 general elections. According to a press release from the party's national secretariat, led by Dr.

Ejimofor Opara, the timetable outlines critical dates and procedures. Interested candidates can purchase nomination forms from April 20 to May 8, 2026.

Screening for prospective candidates will occur on May 11 for the National Assembly, May 12 for the State House of Assembly, and May 13 for gubernatorial candidates. The primary elections are set to take place on May 23, 2026, within local wards.

The costs for nomination forms vary, with presidential forms priced at N25 million, senatorial at N6 million, House of Representatives at N4 million, gubernatorial at N10 million, and House Assembly at N2 million. The party will also hold an appeal sort on May 28, 2026, for any disputes arising from the primaries.
