APM Blasts Tinubu's Government Over Insecurity Crisis

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for its handling of insecurity in Nigeria, asserting that the country now ranks as the fourth most insecure globally according to the Global Terrorism Index (GTI) 2026. In a statement from the party's National Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Abubukar, the APM condemned Defence Minister General Christopher Musa (rtd.) for suggesting that security has improved under Tinubu.

The APM highlighted that Nigeria's insecurity rating has worsened, climbing from sixth to fourth place. Abubukar stated that over 600,000 Nigerians have been killed since 2023, with 2.2 million others abducted.

He referenced a recent incident where 600 individuals, primarily women and children, were kidnapped in Niger State. The APM criticized the administration for being disconnected from reality and challenged officials to travel without armed security to understand the true security situation.
