APM Dismisses Oyo APC Reconciliation Committee's Efforts

The Alli Peoples Movement (APM) has publicly dismissed the Oyo APC reconciliation committee, predicting its failure in addressing the internal challenges of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a statement issued by APM's public secretary, Mr.

Amubod Oluwatosin, the reconciliation effort was described as a "dead-on-arrival" initiative due to deep-seated divisions within the APC. He alleged that the party's approach, particularly concerning the governorship candidacy and Senate positions, is characterized by a "winner-take-all" mentality, lacking the willingness to accommodate aggrieved stakeholders.

Mr. Amubod also questioned the appointment of former Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as co-chairman of the reconciliation committee, citing his previous failure to achieve desired outcomes in similar assignments during the 2023 general elections.

He maintained that the committee lacks the capacity to address longstanding grievances and promote unity among stakeholders, further weakening the APC's prospects for the 2027 elections.
