Oyo APC Forms Reconciliation Committee for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has established a reconciliation committee to address grievances following the recent party primaries. The committee is led by Olufemi Lanlehin and Brimo Yusuf, alongside other notable members including Chief Akin Oke and Prof.

Afolabi Oladapo. A statement issued by the state public secretary, Olawal Sadar, indicated that the committee's formation is a response to the need for unity and peace within the party as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.

The committee is tasked with engaging relevant stakeholders, including aspirants who expressed dissatisfaction with the outcomes of the primaries. The inauguration of the committee is anticipated within the week.

Additionally, former Deputy Governor Mose Adeyemo is expected to mandate the committee to reach out to those interested in obtaining nomination forms for various electoral positions. The APC candidate for the upcoming elections is Sharafadeen Alli, who formally received his nomination form from the Independent National Electoral Commission on June 2, 2026.
