APM Critiques Tinubu's Road Completion Record

On Tuesday in Abuja, Abubakar Yusuf, the National Publicity Secretary of the APM, stated that President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) cannot claim to have completed 250 kilometers of roads across the Southwest since assuming office in 2023. Yusuf highlighted that Governor Makinde has executed over 360 kilometers of roads in Oyo State alone, with more projects scheduled for commissioning in the coming months.

He suggested that the APC is apprehensive about Makinde's leadership and popularity, which could expose Tinubu's perceived failures. Yusuf further indicated that the absence of President Tinubu at a recent event, where Makinde was present, might stem from fears regarding Makinde's influence in uniting governors and stakeholders on national issues.

He asserted that the APC and Tinubu's administration cannot evade Governor Makinde indefinitely, as they will face him in the polls scheduled for January 2027.
