APP Appoints Hon. Ikenga as House Caucus Leader

The All Progressives Party (APP) has appointed Hon. Ikenga as the new leader of its House of Representatives caucus. This appointment follows the defection of Hon. Ikenga from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Hon. Mathew Nwaogu from the Labour Party (LP).

The defections were formally announced in a letter read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abba Tajudeen, who cited persistent internal crises within the former parties as the primary reason for the lawmakers' decisions.

Chief Uch Nnadi, the party chairman, welcomed the defecting lawmakers during a plenary session, describing their decision as a bold step toward strengthening democratic values and enhancing representation. The APP aims to bolster its influence within the lower chamber and position itself strategically within the evolving political landscape of the nation.
