NECO Invites Applications for CBT Transition; Apply Now for SSCE 2025!

The National Examinations Council (NECO) is transitioning to Computer-Based Tests (CBT) by 2025 and is inviting applications from qualified Centre Operators. The move aims to migrate from Pen and Paper Tests (PPT) to CBT for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External.

Interested parties can apply to become Computer-Based Centre Operators. However, education policy analyst Folaranmi Ajayi has cautioned the government about the challenges students may face due to uneven digital readiness across the country.

The Federal Government plans to conduct the SSCE in CBT centers nationwide starting in 2026. Education Minister Dr.

Tunji Alausa confirmed a successful pilot run for the transition.
