Musa Assures APC Role Won't Affect Defence Mandate

General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd.), the Minister of Defence, has been appointed as Secretary I of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election. He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC leadership for this appointment, viewing it as a call to higher service.

Musa committed to executing his responsibilities with diligence and focus to ensure the party's success. He emphasized that while he undertakes this campaign role, his primary constitutional mandate of safeguarding Nigeria's territorial integrity and protecting citizens' lives and property remains paramount.

Musa stated that national security is the highest priority and assured that ongoing operations and reforms in the defence sector will continue with increased vigour. He urged party members and citizens to unite behind the administration, expressing confidence that the APC will succeed in upcoming elections while maintaining robust governance and security.
