Aregbesola Dismisses APC Return, Commits to ADC

Rauf Aregbesola, the former governor of Osun State, has publicly dismissed rumors regarding his potential return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reaffirming his commitment to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This statement was made during a leadership meeting held in Ilesa, Osun State, which involved participants from all 332 wards in the state.

Aregbesola emphasized that he left the APC three years ago and sees no reason to return, criticizing the party for abandoning its foundational vision focused on the welfare and security of the people. He described the claims of his return to APC as baseless and laughable.

Aregbesola's commitment to ADC comes despite challenges, including attempts to frustrate the party's growth. He called for intensified grassroots mobilization efforts in preparation for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, where ADC's candidate, Dr.

Najeem Salaam, will contest. The meeting was also attended by Oluwaseun Abosed, who signed a statement on behalf of the Osun ADC.
