Aregbesola Dismisses APC Return Rumors, Stays with ADC

Rauf Aregbesola, the former governor of Osun State, addressed rumors regarding his potential return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) during a leadership meeting of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held in Ilesa, Osun State. Aregbesola, who exited the APC three years ago, described the claims of his return as baseless and laughable.

He emphasized that there is no reason to look back at the APC, which he accused of abandoning its foundational vision for the people. Aregbesola reaffirmed his commitment to the ADC, despite challenges faced by the party, including attempts to undermine its growth.

He called for intensified grassroots mobilization efforts in preparation for the upcoming governorship elections in Osun State on August 15. Dr.

Najeem Salaam, a member of the ADC, also participated in the meeting, which drew stakeholders from across the 332 wards in the state. The ADC aims to build on its significant victories and prepare for the 2027 elections.
