Aregbesola Loyalists Rejoin APC, Support Oyebamiji

Members of the defunct Osun Progressives, loyal to former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, have rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared their support for the party's governorship candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, ahead of the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday, signed by the group's leader, Adeniran Ajala.

Ajala indicated that the decision to return to the APC was influenced by a desire to strengthen the party and correct perceived miscalculations that had previously driven members away. The group aims to support the party's success in future elections and commended the efforts of Adegboyega Oyetola, a senator and campaign director general, in welcoming the new members.

Ajala emphasized the importance of collaboration among party members, particularly the youth, to foster development in Osun State. The statement also acknowledged the guidance of former governor Rasak Adeosun and other party leaders.
