Army Chief Lieutenant General Shaibu Visits Doma Kingdom

On 9 October 2026, Lieutenant General Shaibu visited His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr Ahmadu Aliyu Ogga Onawo, the Andoma of Doma Kingdom, at his palace in Doma, Nasarawa State. This visit was part of the Army Chief's engagements in the community coinciding with the graduation ceremony of an elite Special Forces Battalion trained at the Nigerian Army Special Forces School located in Doma.

During the visit, Shaibu acknowledged the strategic role of traditional institutions and host communities in intelligence gathering, early warning, building public trust, and sustaining peace. He expressed gratitude for the kingdom's ongoing support and hospitality, stressing that a whole-of-society approach is crucial for addressing contemporary security challenges.

In response, the Andoma of Doma praised Shaibu for his leadership and the establishment of the Nigerian Army Special Forces School, recognizing it as a significant contribution to the community. He pledged the continued support of the institution and the people of Doma to the Nigerian Army and offered prayers for lasting peace, stability, and security across Nigeria.
