Army Declares Soldier Wanted for Selling Uniforms to Terrorists

The Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps has declared Private Mohammed Yusuf Amutu wanted due to his alleged involvement in the illegal sale and supply of military uniforms to terrorists and other criminal elements. This declaration was made in a statement on Thursday, signed by Maj.

Oluwatope Aluko, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations. Preliminary investigations linked Amutu to these illegal activities after he absconded from his unit on June 3, 2026.

The military authorities are actively working to locate and apprehend him for a full investigation and appropriate disciplinary action in line with military laws. The Corps emphasized its zero tolerance for misconduct that could compromise the integrity and operational effectiveness of the Nigerian Army and national security.

They warned that personnel found aiding terrorists or criminals through unauthorized sales of military items would face severe legal consequences. The Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps has called on the public to provide credible information regarding Amutu's whereabouts.
