Nigerian Army's Role in National Unity Praised by Kefas

During a celebration in Jalingo, Taraba State, Governor Agbu Kefas highlighted the Nigerian Army's essential role in maintaining the country's unity and sovereignty. He described the Army as a critical institution that demonstrates unwavering commitment to preserving national integrity despite numerous security challenges facing Nigeria.

Kefas acknowledged the sacrifices made by military personnel, emphasizing the importance of discipline, courage, loyalty, and selflessness in their service. He noted that the theme for the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration is "Protect the Nation, Serve the People," which reflects the Army's dedication to constitutional order and national development.

The Governor also stressed the Army's significant role in territorial defense, international security operations, and peacekeeping missions, urging political leaders to encourage citizens to support security agencies and promote peace for national unity.
