Nigerian Army Warns Against Handling Explosives After Unexploded Ordnance Found in Port Harcourt Community

The Nigerian Army's 6 Division Headquarters in Port Harcourt has issued a caution to residents of River State against handling unidentified explosive materials following the discovery of unexploded ordnance in the Omeruzimagu community. Lieutenant Colonel Joshua Danjuma emphasized the risks of handling military-grade ordnance without expertise and urged the public to report any suspect materials to security agencies.

Major General Emmanuel Eric Emekah praised the community's vigilance and assured residents of trained explosive ordnance disposal experts being deployed to ensure safe evacuation and disposal of the devices. The Army remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the Niger Delta region.
