ARPSSON Calls for Active Involvement of Elderly in Nation-Building

The Association of Retired Principals of Secondary Schools of Nigeria (ARPSSON) is urging the Nigerian government to establish a dedicated ministry for the elderly to harness their wealth of knowledge and experience for national development. At their recent state congress, ARPSSON highlighted the importance of retired individuals, especially former principals, in contributing leadership skills to benefit Nigeria's growth.

They also addressed the rise in youth involvement in substance abuse, emphasizing the need for family support and comprehensive education reform to tackle social issues like drug addiction. ARPSSON expressed concerns about the neglect of critical subjects like mathematics in the education curriculum, calling for a modernized system to build a relevant and robust educational framework.
