Oyo Aspirant Ademola Ara Defects to Accord Party

Ademola Oyepeju Ara formally declared his intention to contest for the Oyo House of Representatives seat representing the Oluyol Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections. This announcement occurred during an event held at the Muslim Grammar School in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday.

Ara defected to the Accord Party, emphasizing the need for a political shift and grassroots mobilization. He expressed concerns about the threats to Nigeria's democratic system and criticized the current political landscape.

Ara outlined his legislative agenda, which includes establishing a specialized anti-stroke hospital to address the increasing prevalence of strokes among residents aged 45 and above. He also pledged to facilitate the establishment of a tertiary institution in the area to expand access to higher education for the youth, as there are currently no government universities or polytechnics in Oluyol.
