Atiku Abubakar Critiques APC on Security Funding Issues

Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stated that recent comments by Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, a senior senator of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), have revealed the severe consequences of the government's fiscal mismanagement. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku expressed his concern over the ongoing insecurity and poverty in Nigeria, attributing these issues to the government's failure to implement budgets effectively.

He highlighted Monguno's questioning of why security agencies have not received necessary funding despite the escalating security crisis. Atiku pointed out that these concerns were not merely political but raised by a member of the ruling party, emphasizing the need for accountability in budget implementation.

He argued that without proper funding, security agencies cannot effectively combat terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping, urging Nigerians to demand answers regarding the allocation of resources.
