Political Leaders Attend Amaechi Mother's Burial in Rivers

The burial of Dame Ezinne Orduah Amaechi, mother of former Minister of Transportation and African Democratic Congress (ADC) Vice Presidential candidate Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, took place in Ubima, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.

Notable attendees included former Vice Presidents Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Yemi Osinbajo, along with Senator David Mark, the ADC National Chairman. Other dignitaries present were Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, Mohammed Bello Adoke, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Senator Ireti Kingibe, Senator Tunde Ogbeha, Emeka Ihedioha, Great Ogboru, and Prof. Attahiru Jega.

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike were absent, with Wike attending a separate reception. In his homily, Most Rev. Patrick Eluke emphasized the need for politicians to foster peace and avoid divisive tactics, especially with the 2027 elections approaching.

Amaechi expressed gratitude to those who honored his mother, acknowledging the difficulty of her loss.
