Atiku Calls for Suspension of Gbajabiamila Over Bribery

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, has urged President Bola Tinubu to suspend Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff, amid allegations linking him to a N400 million bribery scandal. Atiku expressed concerns regarding a budget allocation of N27.4 billion to a non-existent government agency, which he claims raises serious questions about the integrity of the budget process.

He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in governance and called for an independent investigation into Gbajabiamila's alleged involvement in the scandal. Atiku's media office stated that the allegations against Gbajabiamila have gone beyond mere bribery and require thorough scrutiny.

The Arewa Youth Integrity Forum defended Gbajabiamila, criticizing Atiku for alleged hypocrisy and questioning his moral standing given his controversial history. The group described Gbajabiamila as a man of integrity, contrasting his public record with Atiku's past controversies.
