Atiku Abubakar Appeals to Osun Voters for ADC Support

On August 15, 2023, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed Osun voters at a rally held at Nelson Mandela Freedom Park in Osogbo. He appealed for their support in the upcoming governorship election, asserting that the ADC embodies the best of Nigerians.

Atiku reflected on his historical political ties with Osun, recalling previous campaigns where he received significant backing from the electorate. He expressed gratitude for their past support, particularly in the elections for the current governor, Ademola Adeleke, and his own presidential bid.

Atiku urged voters to choose ADC over other parties, emphasizing the party's distinctiveness. Senator David Mark, the ADC national chairman, echoed Atiku's sentiments, encouraging voters to protect their votes against any attempts at rigging.

Former Governor Rauf Aregbesola also spoke, highlighting the ADC's commitment to public welfare and the legacy of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
