Nigerian University Librarians Embrace Responsible AI Integration

The Association of University Librarians of Nigerian Universities (AULNU) has outlined a roadmap for the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in academic libraries across Nigeria. During their 113th meeting in Abuja, in collaboration with the Nigerian University Libraries Consortium (NULIB), discussions were held on leveraging AI to enhance learning and research in the country's universities.

Led by Sylvester Israel Ebhonu, the meeting featured practical sessions introducing innovative AI tools like the AI Librarian Mentor and AI Reference Librarian. This initiative aims to strengthen digital transformation in Nigerian academic libraries and improve information services through responsible AI adoption.
