Okai Commends INEC Chairman for Fair Electoral Wards

Comrade Usman Okai Austin, a political activist from Kogi State, expressed confidence in the fairness of Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, the National Chairman of INEC, regarding the creation of electoral wards in Kogi State. In a statement signed on Saturday, Okai addressed his initial concerns about the ward creation process, which he believed could be initiated through requests from various regions.

He encouraged stakeholders in Kogi East, Kogi Central, and Kogi West to submit their applications to the commission. Okai praised Amupitan's management of the recent Assembly restoration process, highlighting his fairness to all senatorial districts.

He also noted Amupitan's professionalism during the recent Osun State election and his handling of the crisis involving the African Democratic Congress. Okai called for support for Amupitan in his role as INEC chairman, emphasizing that equitable consideration for all parts of Kogi would enhance confidence in the electoral process.
