Autopsy Reveals Cause of Igho Ubiribo's Death in Bangkok

Igho Ubiribo, also known as Tiny, was a 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman who died following a cosmetic procedure in Bangkok. In March, he received 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an unnamed clinic while staying at a Marriott hotel with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.

After the procedure, Ubiribo experienced chest pain during a massage and lost consciousness twice. He was transported to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially responsive.

His wife informed medical staff about the filler injections, and his primary care doctor in London provided his medical history, which included pre-diabetes and gout. Thai doctors recommended a CT scan, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before it could be performed.

He was diagnosed with a pulmonary blood clot blockage and moved to intensive care, where he did not survive despite 100 minutes of CPR. An autopsy in the UK confirmed the presence of hyaluronic acid in his lungs, linking it to the fatal blockage.

Ubiribo's funeral took place in Kensington, attended by Davido, who described the loss as "heavy.".
