Nigerian-British Businessman Dies After Surgery in Thailand

Igho Ubiribo, a 43-year-old Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer, died in March 2026 after undergoing a penile filler procedure in Bangkok, Thailand. The Department of Health Service Support, part of Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health, disclosed that Ubiribo had received five penis enlargement injections at a clinic since 2024.

His final procedure occurred on March 5, 2026, the same day he lost consciousness following a massage. Emergency services were called, but despite attempts at resuscitation, he was pronounced dead.

The clinic stated that Ubiribo had been a regular patient and had signed consent forms for each procedure. Following his death, Thai authorities initiated an investigation into the clinic's practices, with inspections conducted on September 7, 2026.

The clinic had recommended splitting the final injection into two sessions, but Ubiribo opted for a single injection of 40cc of filler. The investigation aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.
