Davido's associate Ego dies after surgery complications

Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, popularly known as Ego, died on March 6, 2026, after complications from a penis enlargement procedure in Thailand. The 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman underwent the procedure at an unnamed clinic while vacationing with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.

He received 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injections. After experiencing chest pain at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok, he was rushed to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he lost consciousness before a CT scan could be performed.

Doctors diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism and attempted CPR for over 100 minutes, but he ultimately died. A postmortem examination in the UK found cellular material in his lungs matching the injected substance.

Coroner Jean Harkin ruled his death was caused by the cosmetic procedure. Ego was known for his lavish lifestyle on Instagram and was buried in a gold coffin costing over $745,000.

At his funeral, Davido expressed disbelief over Ego's death, calling it "heavy.".
