FAAN Assures No Disruption from Aviation Workers' Strike

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) issued a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, assuring the public that the ongoing industrial action by aviation workers will not disrupt airport operations. FAAN emphasized its commitment to maintaining safe, secure, and orderly airport operations.

The management acknowledged the legitimate role of organized labor and expressed support for the efforts of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, and other stakeholders to resolve the issues. FAAN stated it would collaborate with relevant aviation agencies, airlines, security agencies, and other stakeholders to monitor developments from the industrial action.

The Authority confirmed that previous operational challenges affecting some flights had been addressed through inter-agency coordination. Passengers were advised to remain calm and stay in contact with their airlines for real-time flight information.

FAAN expressed appreciation for the understanding of the traveling public and confidence that ongoing engagements would lead to a swift resolution.
