Adeleke Halts PPP Agreements to Avoid Crises in Osun

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has issued a directive to agencies and parastatals to exercise caution regarding public-private partnership (PPP) agreements to prevent potential crises. He specifically instructed the board management of the Osun State College of Health Technology in Ilesa to cease further processing of a PPP deal concerning the college's land.

This decision comes at a time when the state is engaged in a battle with the audit firm Salli Tibbot, which has claimed to have discovered 15,000 ghost workers in the state's payroll. Adeleke's administration is reviewing the proposed agreements with private sector partners, deeming them unfair and not in the best interest of the college.

The governor's actions are aimed at addressing the accommodation challenges faced by the institution while ensuring that the state government looks inward to resolve these issues. The directive was communicated through a statement by the governor's spokesperson, Olawal Rashe, on Tuesday in Osogbo.
