Ayo Fayose's Role in Seyi Makinde's Governorship Revealed

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, stated that Ayo Fayose was instrumental in Seyi Makinde's election as Governor of Oyo State in 2019. In a post on his official Facebook page, Isaac revealed that Ayo Fayose engaged in significant behind-the-scenes efforts to ensure Makinde secured the necessary political backing.

He mentioned that several strategic meetings took place during the election period, involving key political figures to discuss Makinde's gubernatorial ambitions. Isaac recalled a meeting in Ibadan where they discussed critical plans, including a notable incident involving a cow at a resort.

He expressed concern over the deteriorating relationship between Ayo Fayose and Makinde and urged for reconciliation, emphasizing that peace is still possible. Isaac also noted Ayo Fayose's recent vow to politically challenge Makinde ahead of the 2027 elections, indicating ongoing tensions between the two politicians.
