Fayose Accuses Makinde of Threatening Olubadan Throne

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has publicly accused Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of attempting to dismantle the political structure within the South West chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and plotting to dethrone the Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja. Fayose's claims have been met with strong denial from Makinde's office, which stated that there is no connection to any events concerning the state’s governance or the monarchy.

Chief Olawal Oladoja, representing the Mogaji Akinsola family, condemned Fayose's comments as reckless and inflammatory, demanding that he refrain from meddling in Ibadan's politics. The Olubadan throne is regarded as a father figure for the people of Ibadan, and any perceived threat to it is taken seriously.
