Isaac Fayose Critiques Brother's REA Board Appointment

Isaac Fayose reacted to the announcement of his brother, Ayo Fayose, being appointed as Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) Board. Isaac expressed disappointment that Ayo was not considered for a higher position, such as a minister or ambassador, despite being given the role of Director General in the past.

He made these remarks in a video posted on Instagram on Monday, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's announcement of Ayo's appointment along with 25 others to various federal agencies. Isaac questioned why Ayo was not given a more prestigious role, comparing his situation to that of Reno Omokri, who was appointed as an ambassador.

He suggested that the timing of Ayo's appointment was linked to Peter Obi's recent visit to Nigeria, during which he met with Ayo. Isaac also noted that Ayo had previously stated he would not seek government appointments after leaving office and would focus on business instead.
