British Airways Flight Declares Mid-Air Emergency Over Cabin Smoke

A British Airways flight from Istanbul to London, operating as flight BA603 with 142 passengers on board, declared a mid-air emergency when smoke was detected in the cabin. The aircraft made an unscheduled landing in Romania at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport.

Four passengers reportedly suffered from smoke inhalation and needed urgent medical attention. British Airways confirmed the incident on its website and apologized for the diversion.
