Babcock University Partners with PMI Nigeria for Student Skills

Babcock University, located in Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, has formalized a partnership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) Nigeria through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing students' global employability by equipping them with recognized project management skills. This collaboration will grant students access to professional development opportunities, globally recognized certifications, and PMI’s international community of project professionals.

Additionally, a sustainable PMI student club will be established at the university, promoting evidence-based project management and regional research. Mrs. Adeola Akande, PMI Africa Head of Community, stated that the partnership would expand student membership across Africa and enhance access to global certifications.

Prof. Afolarin Ojewole, Vice-Chancellor of Babcock University, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, aligning it with the university’s commitment to developing individuals. PMI Nigeria President, Dr. Gbolahan Oyelakin, described the MoU as historic, emphasizing networking and leadership development opportunities.

The partnership includes an all-expenses-paid trip to Cape Town for one student to attend a regional program later this year.
