Babcock University to Sue Carter Efe Over Fake Degree

Babcock University announced its intention to pursue legal action against Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe due to allegations of circulating a fake degree certificate. The controversy began when Carter Efe, during an interview, claimed to have graduated from the private university with top honors and shared a purported degree certificate on the social media platform X.

In response, Babcock University issued a statement dismissing Efe's claims, labeling the certificate as fraudulent and warning the public against relying on it. The university clarified that it does not award undergraduate degrees classified as "first class upper" and noted that the certificate bore signs of being fake, including a fraud alert.

Babcock University urged the public to verify academic credentials directly with the office of the registrar and confirmed that it would take appropriate legal action against those responsible for producing the alleged forged certificate.
