Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya Sworn in as NBA President

Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, has officially taken office as the new President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). The swearing-in ceremony occurred on Friday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where the immediate past NBA President, Afam Osigwe, administered the oath of office.

In his farewell remarks, Osigwe presented Badejo-Okusanya with a handover note, stating, “This is your handover note. A more comprehensive one will be given to you later.

I hereby now out.” Badejo-Okusanya is recognized as the 33rd President of the NBA, succeeding Osigwe after the completion of his tenure. Notably, she attended her first NBA conference as a newly called lawyer in 2002, marking the beginning of her long-standing involvement with the association.
