Balogun and Ahmed Triumph at U-15 Table Tennis Championships

The 7th Adegboyega Efunkoya National U-15 Table Tennis Championships concluded at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium in Lagos, showcasing the talents of young players. Mubarak Balogun and Fatimoh Ahmed emerged as champions, winning the boys' and girls' singles titles, respectively.

Balogun defeated Juwon Ogunsakin, while Ahmed triumphed over Waliyat Afolabi. The tournament, organized by the Adegboyega Efunkoya Sports Foundation under Babatunde Obisanya and in partnership with the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), began with a two-day coaching clinic and featured over 130 participants, including the youngest competitor, five-year-old Ayomide Omotoso.

Ahmed also won the girls' doubles title with Emmanuella Shaibu. Other winners included Kehinde Olamilekan and Kehinde Oluwasemilore in boys' doubles, and Emmanuel Adebiyi and Deborah Fayele in mixed doubles.

Balogun and Ahmed were named Most Valuable Players and received scholarships of ₦100,000 each. The event emphasizes grassroots development in Nigerian table tennis.
