UDUS to Host Inaugural International Media Conference

The University of Dutsin-Ma (UDUS) is set to host its first international media conference, with Danladi Bako serving as the chairman of the organizing committee. The conference will take place on June 8, 2023, at the university auditorium in Sokoto, Nigeria.

It aims to explore the theme of media and national development in the era of artificial intelligence. The event will commence with pre-conference lectures on June 7, delivered by Fatma El Sai from Cairo University, and will officially open on June 8.

The Vice Chancellor of UDUS has expressed readiness to host participants from within and outside Nigeria. Notable attendees expected include Professor Attahiru Jega, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, and Kehbuma Langmia, a Fulbright Scholar from Howard University, who will deliver a keynote address.

The conference will also feature lead paper presentations and panel discussions, engaging scholars from various universities across Nigeria and beyond, and aims to unveil the maiden edition of the academic journal "Alkalami" focused on communication and media studies.
