Bandits Abduct Kaduna Lawmaker's Brother, Kill Vigilantes

Suspected bandits abducted Sanusi, the younger brother of Alhaji Shehu Pambegua, a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Kubau Constituency, from his residence around 10 p.m. on Monday. The abduction followed the killing of three personnel from the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVS) while they were conducting security duties along the Zaria-Pambegua road.

The deceased were identified as Dallami Dantani, the Second-in-Command of KADVS in Kubau, Abdullahi Hamisu, and Zakariyya Musa. They were attacked after attempting to stop a suspicious red Volkswagen Golf Salon, which led to a deadly confrontation.

Dantani was killed during the chase, while Hamisu and Musa were shot in a subsequent attack. The KADVS Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Ibrahim, confirmed the incidents, which have heightened security concerns in the area.

CP Ali Audu (rtd.), the Kaduna State Commander of KADVS, expressed condolences to the families of the deceased personnel, praising their commitment to protecting residents.
