Police Rescue Three Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command successfully rescued three kidnapped victims, including Alhaji Hamza Shuaibu Gimi, from a suspected bandits' hideout in Makarfi Local Government Area on Thursday. The operation was initiated following credible intelligence regarding suspicious movements in the area.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, directed the Divisional Police Officer of Makarfi Division to lead a patrol team in collaboration with local vigilantes. Upon encountering the suspected kidnappers at Gidan Mijin Gwaggo, Durum, the assailants opened fire, resulting in a fierce gun duel.

The police team engaged the kidnappers, forcing them to flee into nearby bushes with gunshot injuries. Following the confrontation, the operatives searched a house belonging to Yakubu Sule, discovering it was being used as a hideout for the bandits, where they found and rescued the three victims unharmed.

A Boxer motorcycle suspected to have been used by the kidnappers was also recovered. The victims have been reunited with their families, and efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects are ongoing.
