Bandits Kill 10, Abduct Dozens in Sokoto Community Raid

On Sunday night, suspected bandits attacked Tofa community in Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 individuals and injuries to several others. Local sources indicated that between 38 and 40 residents were abducted during the raid, although the exact number was still being verified.

The assailants not only shot at residents but also rustled a significant number of livestock and looted valuables. This incident has raised serious concerns regarding the security situation in Rabah LGA, particularly regarding the ability of armed groups to conduct such prolonged attacks without being intercepted by security forces.

Residents are questioning how the attackers managed to operate freely in Tofa, leading to fatalities and abductions. DSP Ahmed Rufai, the spokesman for the Sokoto State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that further details would be provided after the command compiles its report.
