Bandits Kill 7, Abduct 17 in Sokoto Communities Attack
On Monday night, bandits attacked the communities of Dinawa, Munƙi, and Gidan Dare in Sokoto, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals and the abduction of 17 others. The Chairman of the Dinawa Vigilante Group, Aliyu Falke, reported that the attackers arrived in a Canter truck around 10:30 p.m. and began shooting shortly after unloading.

The attackers operated for about four hours before police arrived, forcing them to retreat. The lawmaker for Wurno Constituency, Hon. Shamsu Aliyu, condemned the incident, highlighting the vulnerability of the communities during heavy rainfall.
The attackers also rustled cattle and looted valuables. The injured were taken to Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
