Bauchi APC Begins Reconciliation Talks for 2027 Elections

On Monday, the Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi commenced peace talks with National Assembly aspirants from the last primaries. Chaired by Rt.

Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the meeting aimed to consolidate party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The engagement took place at the APC State Secretariat and focused on healing divisions, fostering mutual respect, and presenting a united front to secure electoral victory, avoiding the issues faced in 2019 and 2023. Dogara urged aspirants to prioritize the party's interests over personal ambitions and to support the chosen candidates.

The Committee emphasized that this meeting was part of a broader reconciliation effort, which had previously included discussions with State House of Assembly aspirants. Key stakeholders present included Bauchi State APC Chairman Alhaji Mohammed Hassan Tilde, Senator Salisu Matori, and former Federal Lawmaker Malam Ahmed Yarima.

The Committee expressed confidence that the spirit of dialogue would enhance mobilization and coordination for the upcoming elections.
