Bauchi Governor Abubakar Denies APC Defection Rumors

Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar addressed rumors regarding his potential defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), labeling the claims as baseless. Speaking shortly after the Eid el-Fitr prayer on Sunday, he emphasized his unwavering commitment to the PDP and stated that political decisions should reflect the interests of the people of Bauchi State.

Abubakar acknowledged internal challenges within the PDP but expressed optimism that these issues would be resolved ahead of the 2027 general elections. He urged politicians to prioritize unity to avoid actions that could heighten political tension in the state.
