Bauchi Governor Swears in Four New Commissioners

On Wednesday, Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, swore in four new commissioners at the Executive Chambers of the Governor’s Office. The ceremony, presided over by State Chief Judge Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, filled vacancies left by former commissioners who resigned to pursue elective positions in the 2027 general elections.

Governor Mohammed emphasized the importance of integrity, accountability, and transparency in their new roles. He noted that the new commissioners were selected from affected local government areas to ensure fair representation in the State Executive Council, highlighting their track records, competence, and commitment to Bauchi State's development.

The appointed commissioners include Madaki Ahmad Gololo (Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperatives), Bashir Yau (Ministry of Youth and Sports Development), Bashir Adamu Rishi (Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management), and Baraya Ibrahim (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment). The governor also announced the redeployment of other officials and concluded the ceremony with prayers for guidance and protection for the new commissioners and the state.
