Gombe Governor Inaugurates 23 New Commissioners

On Saturday, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya inaugurated 23 new commissioners and special advisers at the International Conference Centre in Gombe. This event marks the formal induction of the new members into the State Executive Council following their confirmation by the Gombe State House of Assembly.

During the ceremony, Yahaya emphasized the need for the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with integrity and diligence, especially as the administration approaches its final year. He urged them to begin implementing government policies immediately and to focus on development projects rather than political distractions.

The governor praised the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative branches, attributing it to the administration's success. The newly appointed commissioners were selected based on competence and are expected to represent various local government areas.

The appointees include Abdulkadir Moham for Agriculture and Food Security, Prof. Aishatu Umaru Maigari for Education, and Engr.

Bala Adam for Water Resources, among others.
