PRP's Shehu Buba Selects Tijjani Aliyu as Running Mate

Sen Shehu Buba Umar, the gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) for the 2027 general elections, has appointed Hon. Tijjani Mohammed Aliyu as his running mate.

Aliyu, a former Majority Leader of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, is recognized for his political experience and governance expertise. His educational background includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zariya.

Aliyu served in the Bauchi State House of Assembly from 2015 to 2023, where he was noted for his effective legislative contributions. Prior to his political career, he worked in the banking sector with various institutions.

The partnership between Umar and Aliyu is aimed at addressing issues such as youth unemployment, women empowerment, agricultural growth, and overall governance in Bauchi State. Umar expressed confidence that this alliance will strengthen the PRP's chances in the upcoming elections, encouraging party members and supporters to unite in support of their ticket.
